7:57 PM - My First Week @ WORK
HELLO! :D
Haha. My entire week has been quite funny?
Day One
I went into Big Os and the senior supervisor looked at me and told me WELCOME! then it was like super awkward for me cause i didn't know how to tell him that i was acually here to work. So i stood there and ERRRR... for like 1 minute? LOL. then he realised that im actually here to work. super lame la. So i was handed an apron and a size L shirt, and my journey started! (The supervisor told me he will give me a smaller size one for the next time... but now still no sign of the shirt. ._. LOL.)
Anyway nothing much to elaborate on the training la... but many funny things happened to me that day. Like when i was wiping the cutlery using a mixtur of hot and cold water with 2 pieces of lemon... i almost flung the lemon out. == But anyway this was the one that i can remember most clearly about...
Ang Moh: Raises hand to get any waiter or waitresses' attention*
I was nearby... so i went to attend to him.
Ang Moh: Milk.
Me: Sorry? *I didn't hear very clearly*
Ang moh: Milk.
Me: Milk?
Ang Moh: *nods head*
So i went to get the milk... but when i returned, he finished his coffee already. So i was like... huh?
Ang Moh: *Gives the Oh-my-god-look. Pinches the bridge of his nose and give the exasperated look* Bill.
So actually all along he wanted to say bill and i thought he said milk. And i was like super paiseh la...
Day Two
The second day of work was kinda boring cause i was still being anti social and rarely talked to anyone, i sort of just answer the question and try to continue the convo. Haha. But i did manage to talk to one girl in the end. And i almost scalded my hand that day. Cause the person who filled the water but super little cold water and the water was like normal boiling water?! then i was wiping this super short spoon which completely sinks into the container. and unknowingly i dipped my hands in to retrieve the spoons. And walau... i was like !!!!!!!!!!! when i dipped my hand in. Then the cleaner uncle still laugh at me. == But he helped me take the spoons out in the end. haha.
Day Three (Today)
And today i had alot of fun working. Cause i knew 2 of the people. So we sort of chatted and joked around. haha. And i found out today that my partner and trainer for day 1 is like super smart? He like scored 5 points for L1R4?!
LOL. And i think the 2 guys are like damn funny... Cause the cutlery that had just been washed come out already... so we had to wipe it. And most of us don't like doing it cause its kinda boring?
Trainer/Partner for Day1 (QY): 去 wipe cutlery.
Guy: HUH! upgrade liao 还要 wipe cutlery?
*Upgrade means you have your own name tag le, cause when you first start the name tag is "trainee"
QY: 讲废话! 我做了一年了也还要擦!
LOL. I was totally 幸灾乐祸'ing cause it means more people to share the duty.
And the people there damn cute and funny la. Cause there's this guy who is like practicing making latte i think... so he finished making it liao and asked the guys to drink. and none of them wanted to drink so they kept pushing it around. and the guy who made the coffee was damn lame la... he don't even dare to drink his own creation. we were like wth... == In the end they pushed it to the kitchen for someone to drink. LOL. Damn mean la.
In all... i enjoyed working more and more :D That's all for now. ((:
