Wednesday, June 15, 2011 @ 10:33 PM - KEWEI IS SICKKKKKKK... PLUS CAMP REFLECTIONS

Stayed at home for the past few days. Didnt feel well after the noMADIC camp. Slight fever (luckily), throat inflammation, basically throat sore lahhh. But u know u know, camp noMAD IS FUNN!!!!

Actually camp noMAD the name sounds kinda interesting, I thought it refers to Night Of Music, Art and Dance (same as our Nomad few years back), but actually the MAD stands for MAKING A DIFFERENCE!!!! COOL RIGHT? Hahahaha :) Throughout the camp, I actually learnt many things, like leadership and team bonding. It is super fun lahh, bt we just have to walk alot! IT IS FRIGGING ALOT OF DISTANCE I TELL U!!!! Cos we have to get to many different stations, and we can only take 3 MRT rides and 2 bus rides, and we must strategise, like must save one mrt trip to go back school.. Then we got helping cards all that, very niccce. Our group is called Bak Zhang, as u know the dumpling season is nearing, so we came up with the name (if u have notice, Bak Zhang has a fan page, u got go and like?), then actually we got a few other names, like Ba Kwa, Ba Hu, Ba Teng.. (Bascially all the BA names). LOL.

Ya, we walked and walked and walked, never ending. LET ME TELL U THE DISTANCE I CAN STILL REMEMBER VIVIDLY. LOL
TAKE A BUS TO MACHRITCHE RESERVOIR
- WALK IN TO JELUTONG TOWER: 5.5KM- RAINING, ALL OF US ARE WEARING PONCHOS AND STEPPING INTO THE MUD HAPPILY.
- WALK OUT OF JELUTONG TOWER- DIFFERENT PATHWAY 4.7KM
- WALK TO BUS STOP- NEAR TOA PAYOH HIGHWAY 1.2KM
- WE DIDNT TAKE BUS, SO WALK BESIDE THE HIGHWAY TO BRADDELL OR TPY THERE TO HAVE OUR LUNCH AND ALSO TO THE NEXT STATION 3KM
-NIGHT TIME WALK FROM TPY TO ORCHARD (HELIX BRIDGE STRUCTURE), THEN TO MARINA BAY SANDS THERE  FOR ONE OF OUR STATIONS.
-WALK TO OUTRAM PARK STATION TO TAKE OUR 1ST MRT RIDE BACK TO SCHOOL.

Yeahh, bascially all. Then on the 3rd day, all of us wake up super early, not tekan session. We have to choose what we are good at, there are 3 stns mainly psycially challenge, mentally challenge and gift of the gab. Obviously I will choose physical challenge right? Then our challenge got 16 pple, only 5 girls. LOL. Most girls went to the brain station. Then we have clues leading to many places of the school, like amazing race. then the challenge is that there will be TIGERR force around in orange coats, if we see them must run, if not must do 20 shuttle runs, 20 situps and 20 pumpings. So, it was fun!

Ya, that's about it. But I really enjoy the camp, it is really different from the camps I have experienced before in my life so as to speak. :)
